Community. Dignity. Justice.
We envision a world where immigration is met with dignity, not detention. Where people are free to move, stay, and belong without fear.
Mainers for Humane Immigration exists to confront the systems that criminalize migration and to support humane, community based responses grounded in care, shared responsibility, and radical love. We believe in solidarity that listens, builds trust, and responds to harm with collective action.
This isn’t just about reacting to injustice. It’s about building something better, together.
What We Do
Mainers for Humane Immigration provides direct support to individuals impacted by immigration enforcement and the families left to navigate its consequences. That support depends on the situation, commissary funds, emergency aid, help locating someone after a transfer, release support, court accompaniment, letter writing through our Paper Bridges program and resource referrals.
