Support Someone in ICE Detention Today

In detention, even basic necessities come at a cost. Food is frequently spoiled, limited, or inedible. Hygiene items are scarce. Phone calls home are expensive. In some facilities, the water is not drinkable. If people do not have money in their commissary accounts, they go without basic necessities.

We provide monthly commissary support for people in ICE detention to help mitigate isolation, hold onto some sense of dignity, and survive inside a system designed to break people down.

Outside the detention centers, families are left trying to survive the fallout. Households can lose income overnight. Rent and utilities still need to be paid. Grocery prices continue to skyrocket.

We help make sure people do not go without while navigating the challenges that come with detention and immigration enforcement by providing emergency household assistance. No one should have to worry about whether they can feed their children or afford diapers.

We can’t change the system overnight, but we can make it less brutal for the people caught up in it.

  • $10 helps cover stamps to send letters to people in detention

  • $30 provides commissary support for one person for one month

  • $50 can provide diapers and wipes for a month

  • $100 helps buy a bus or plane ticket home for someone released out of state

  • $250 helps provide groceries for a household for up to two weeks during a crisis

  • $500 helps with rent, utilities, and other essential expenses
